In this clip, Lamar Odom talked about the tragic loss of his 6 month old son in 2005. He detailed playing in a game after his son’s death and said he performed off pure emotion.
Elsewhere in the clip, Lamar recounted the return of Phil Jackson to the Lakers and how they quickly put the pieces together to make a championship run.
I know what exactly what he’s going through. Same thing happened to my twin daughter 6 months ago she was 2months old. She passed away next to me in my bed. She’ll still be here if I didn’t put her that position. I cry damn near everyday about it.
This is sad because you can tell that he dealt with trauma in his life through basketball and now that he doesn’t have that, I worry for him. Maybe someone from the league can reach out and get him involved in some assistant coaching or some type of hands in roll in an organization!
Vlad !!!….come on man!!!….why are you bringing up his 6month son who passed away… where is your Humanity…let these individuals who loose someone that’s very dear to them…let them bring it up man ..not you!!!! Smh…
I have so much respect for Lamar Odom, to having an idea of what he went thru and he’s still standing. Aaron Carter’s jaw is about to be broken yet AGAIN!!!!
This dude didn’t even loved his child????this guys thinks his shit don’t stink?! all this dudes, all they got is height????other than that they ain’t got shit!!!!

He needs to be sitting in front of a pastor or therapist! Bc it don’t seem he has began to heal from none of this stuff
Would of made a bunch of bad decisions too
Damn. Makes sense why this dude was so depressed.

To all the people that think addiction is funny, something drastic like losing a child can have some very serious effects on a person.
Damn son, sorry for your lost again, bro. R.I.P

I wonder if he has a counselor. There is no way with all that he’s been thru that he can handle all those emotions on his own.
Uhhh we all gotta go back to our crap jobs after someone close to us passes away.
men need to be allowed to release our feelings, esp when dealing with grief. when men cry its from real pain.
Lamar was gentleman then and now! Good bless, brother!

This is why I keep watching Vlad. The level of content is full of substance from respected entertainers, athletes, activists, etc.
I went to opening day 2006 against Phoenix. Kobe was a late scratch and we were all bummed but Lamar went CRAZY that night
