AARP and ATL HipHop Day to Honor Lil Jon, Pastor Troy, and Generation Now in Celebration of 50th Anniversary of HipHop at Historic Fourth Ward Park

The 14th annual ATL HipHop Day Festival is set to make history as it celebrates 50 Years of HipHop, paying tribute to the cultural phenomenon that has revolutionized music, art, and expression. Taking place Labor Day weekend at Historic 4th Ward Park (680 Dallas St NE, Atlanta, GA 30308), this year’s festival promises to be a monumental event.

Sponsored by AARP, 1-800-411-PAIN, and STONEHEADNATION.COM the ATL HipHop Day Festival will showcase electrifying performances by renowned emcees, rap battles featuring rising stars, and a lineup of Atlanta’s finest DJs who will keep the crowd moving with exceptional skills. In addition to the musical showcases, the festival will highlight the various elements of hip-hop, including awe-inspiring performances by B-Boys and B-Girls representing esteemed collectives. Talented graffiti artists, turntablists, breakdancers, and emcees are invited to participate in this unforgettable experience.

AARP Atlanta and ATL HipHop Day will honor Generation Now’s Don Cannon, DJ Drama, and Lakeshow with a “Most Influential Label Award”, Lil Jon / BME Recordings with the “Pioneer Award” and Pastor Troy with the “Atlanta HipHop Icon Award”.

DJ Scream and Friends will curate a set Saturday, September 2, which in the past has featured OJ Da Juiceman, Young Dro, Skooly, and a DJ Swamp Izzo and Friends curated showcase takes place Sunday, September 3 presented by StoneheadNation.com.
