Boosie shared his thoughts on Birdman’s powerful declaration on stage, “I’d never let my city down and be a p**** a** n**** for nobody.” This came in the context of the Essence Fest in New Orleans, where the highly anticipated Hot Boys reunion did not go as planned. While Lil Wayne performed solo, standing strong in his home city, and BG made an appearance with Birdman, other essential members like Turk were notably absent. Boosie expressed his disappointment but also his hope for the group to eventually come together for a tour, possibly with him as an opener. Boosie and Vlad acknowledged the immense impact of Cash Money Records, with Boosie noting that Cash Money and No Limit Records “raised Louisiana.”
