Hansen got kinda cagey with his answers on this one. I don’t really believe his vague assertions that the stories were untrue. Sure, _National Enquirer_ is a non-credible tabloid rag, but Hansen’s account doesn’t wash with the reasons NBC publicly stated for letting him go, nor his mistress’ comments.

Chris is a great guy. Life has ups and downs. Vlad was being a Dick really,
Chris Hansen is still my hero. No one is perfect but he’s done so much good that, as much as I hate that his relationship ended over it, I’m not hung up on that detail.
