DaBaby on Local Rappers Hating on Him: "You Ain't It" (Flashback)

In this VladTV Flashback from 2019, DaBaby spoke about how rappers get hated on in their city. He said he receives hate because he’s the first one to blow out of Charlotte. He noted the last person to truly blow out of North Carolina was Petey Pablo. He noted that he “ran laps” around the rappers who have been trying to get on for some time in his city, which is why they hate, saying “you ain’t it, I am.”

"They ain’t it!"? Or "THEY" weren’t willing to play the game and do what’s required of one to make it to the top? You know, sell ones soul, being, and morals both in the limelight and behind the scenes to get that 15 mnts of fame…

"I’m chosen"…. The entrainment business is strictly eternal…. You could be a dope artist and grind till the wheels come off but listen… The industry is complete fraternal.

What yal know about the queen city, Charlotte NC!? I have ran into a few local artists, and I’m not impressed at all. I’d like to see good music comin from the QC. A certified independent artist that is putting out bangers, out of the JAX, is Dirt Diggla. He is below the radar, but makes great music, real street life story, a deep Playlist going back over a decade, all about real shit. Real G certified, served time state & feds, never snitched on the plug or his homies, and he deserves to get a bag off his music. Real shit, I can name 12+ Dirt Diggla tracks on my playlist, including the hit he dropped this week, 2nd time in. Check him out.

What 3 6 said was so stupid. Hella rappers get knocked off in LA one of the biggest cities in the nation. Chicago too..Size of the city is not what matters, the culture is.
