We recently linked up with D4L member Frontstreet for an exclusive “Off The Porch” interview! During our sit down he talked about growing up in Bowen Homes, having a gold record “Bankhead Bounce” when he was 14, being apart of the group City Boys with Shawty Redd, his & Mook B’s song and dance “Frontstreet Whoa”, starting a trend of dance songs in Atlanta, breaking their records at the Pool Palace nightclub, explains that D4L was a street crew before being a rap group, creating “Betcha Can’t Do It Like Me” as a response to Dem Franchize Boyz, being locked up when “Laffy Taffy” was recorded, Shawty Lo not being a fan of the song at first, touring across the country, explains why he isn’t listed as a member of D4L, why the group split up, his response to saying that the group killed hip-hop, the group not getting its respect, his reaction to Shawty Lo passing away, Drake making a song called “D4L”, Bankhead’s influence on the rap game, and much more!
