ATL HIP HOP DAY

Is the Hip Hop Community In Danger because of Vaccine Misinformation?

The question becomes as we already have seen that the African American and Latino communities have been disproportionately effected by this COVID-19 Pandemic. Why, as many of us has learned are these pre-existing conditions ailing our communities that are already underserved when it comes to healthcare.

Many of us are out of shape, don’t ear right, a lot of processed foods, fast food, and more. Now with the opportunity to protect ourselves with the roll out of the vaccines will we take advantage of it?

Even when I search Atlanta COVID 19 vaccines, the very first images that pop up point to areas like Alpharetta. Yes there has been a recall of Johnson and Johnsons Vaccine, but Moderna, which was taken by Vice President Kamala Harris is an alternative that has yet to show any major side effects.

If you are unsure about what the Vaccine, and you have older people at home, at the very least you should do your research thoroughly, because conspiracy theory alone is not going to cut it.

As of current I have YET to see anyone in our Hip Hop community to say, “I have taken the COVID-19 Vaccine” The question become, why not? If you ask me we are ALWAYS, due to misinformation, and lack of proper education, the LAST to protect ourselves in almost ALL categories, health, finances, family, and more. Also when I say education, that doesn’t necessarily mean College or University, with all the resources we have at our fingertips in 2021 it’s nearly ridiculous to stay UNINFORMED. Most of us have a phone in our hands that is more powerful that the rockets that took the first astronauts into space. NO EXCUSES!!
