West coast representer Mozzy stopped by Hoodrich Radio to chop it up with DJ Scream!
Mozzy talks about the true meaning of being a gangster, which he says comes by way of a person’s environment rather than by choice.
Mozzy says that his decision to push forward as an independent artist stems from false promises of others being able to help his career. He discusses coming out of Sacramento and the music scene in Cali and the Bay Area, and says that it is an honor to be a voice for his area.
When it comes to making a gangster chick, Mozzy prefers an educated, low key beauty who vibes with his daughter.
Mozzy goes into the meaning and motivation of his project, ‘1Up Top Ahk’.
When he’s not rapping, you can find Mozzy raising his daughter, shopping, and showing love to the hood.
As a word of advice to artists trying to make it, Mozzy offers that they concentrate their forces, put their heart into their craft, and do for self to attain success.
