As Leslie Jordan says, “well shit.” The Atlanta Falcons are 1-5. As resident smack talker to all my friends and strangers in bars, you can bet I am hearing it this season. I’ve even got people coming out of the woodwork to tease me. However, let’s look on the bright side. Everytime we lose, my dad reiterates the draft picks we are going to have at our fingertips.
I think it’s time, now bare with me, to let Jet Jones go. I KNOW. I know! But listen, I’ve watched the last decade of games and I can tell you whole-heartedly that he kind of fell off. Calvin Ridley, #18, is running all over and !! CATCHING THE BALL !!. Julio held out for more money one or two years ago before signing with us but I think his expensive contract is weighing us down. I’m still a fan of #2 Matt Ryan but the fan groups and the blogs say he needs to go as well.
Let’s look at this as a positive thing. We can rebuild and be the team Atlanta desperately needs. We finally got rid of head coach Dan Quinn and general manager Dimitroff so maybe a shakeup in players is what we need. Maybe we can rebuild a great team and remove the 28-3 Scarlett letter from the jerseys and in our hearts.
